Obituary: Irene Mae (Lamb) Wurster Irene Mae Wurster, age 81, of Clinton, passed away January 28, 2010, at the Saline Evangelical Home of Saline. She was born January 13, 1929 in McGuffey, OH, the daughter of LeRoy and Goldie (Brown) Lamb. She married Victor Charles Wurster on May 20, 1955 in Manchester and he survives. Irene was a member of the Manchester Legion Auxiliary and The Friends of the VFW in Adrian. She was also a member of Emanual United Church of Christ and was a past councel member. Irene was an accomplished executive and legal secretary working for Albert J. Rapp, proescuting attorney for Ann arbor as well as law offices of Roesch and Delhanney and King and king in Lake Charles, LA. Upon returning from the service with her husband Victor she began her 30 year career as the executive secretary to the president at Double A Products in Manchester retiring in 1986. Irene was an avid golfer and accomplished bowler winning many trophies and tournaments. Irene loved "digging in the dirt" along side her husband Victor at their farm in Manchester. Besides her husband Victor, she is survived by her children, Vicki (Ken) Pabst of Commerce City, Colorado and Michael Wurster of Clinton, MI; four granddaughters; Angelise and Alyssa Wurster, Krysta and Keri Pabst, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Inez Lee Lamb, brothers Melvin Eugene Lamb and Eldon Dorn Lamb. The family will receive visitors at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 210 W. Pottawatamie, Tecumseh, MI on Monday, February 1st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd at 11:00 am at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Manchester with the Rev. Gry J. Kwiatek officiating. There will be a luncheon at the American Legion in Manchester immediately following the service.
